Lieutenant Colonel (Retired)

Timothy Kevin Walker

 

LTC (RET) Walker received a regular army commission thru the Army ROTC program at Washington State University in 1984.  Walker Completed the Engineer officer basic course, basic airborne course, Sapper Leader course and then began his military career as a 2nd LT assigned  as a platoon leader 2PLT CO C, 864th ENGR BN (CBT HVY) Fort Lewis Washington. Follow on assignments included Company XO, Co Commander, Engineer Task force Commander- Task Force Bravo- Comayagua Honduras. Battalion Operations officer, Battalion Executive Officer, Battalion Commander. Brigade Operations officer, Task force Raven Commander during Hurricane Katrina relief Operations and Brigade Chief of Staff.

 

Walker has participated in three combat deployments, 3Humanitarian relief deployments, and numerous Over Seas Deployments for Training exercises.

 

Awards / Decorations include: the Bronze Star, Purple Heart(s), 5 Meritorious Service Medals, 6 Army Commendation Medals, 3rd award Humanitarian Service Medals, and Kuwait Liberation medal. Combat Action Badge, Sapper Tab, Basic Airborne Wings.

 

Walker retired after 28 years of military service on March 15th 2012.

 

Walker makes his home in Lacey Washington w/ his 3 children Adam, Grant and Kathryn; along with his Black Lab “Tank”, and fishing boat “Serenity”.

Focused on Faith, Freedom, Family, Friends, and Fishing

 

He is a life time member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and American Legion Post # 26 and continues service work with the Wounded Warrior Project and American Lake Veterans Campus.
